Clyde Neville - Community Liaison Director
Clyde founded the theatre after working with other theatre companies in the area and knowing he could make a successful start in Prescott Valley. Starting as Lonesome Valley Playhouse and later Prescott Valley Performing Arts, Clyde held performances in various locations until finally realizing his dream of the Main Street Theatre in the Entertainment District of Prescott Valley. PVPA has entertained countless number of people in its original Children's and Family productions, and later adding Teen Theatre and Main Stage. Clyde loves seeing his dream being realized every day through the wonderful people who help make the theatre run.
Randy Smith - Artistic Managing Director
Randy has a passion for theatre that goes back to early High School that has led him to become the Technical Director for our theatre. With background and training in the construction trades, drafting, engineering, professional theatre inspection and amusement inspection, he continues to provide our theatre with high quality sets, lighting and sound. On occasion he enjoys acting, you may have caught him on stage in “Scrooge! The Musical” as Scrooge or in several other performances. Randy is also one of our Directors, having directed multiple Children’s Theatre and Family Theatre productions. Track him down and say hi, he would love to talk to you.
Joyce Deyo - Youth Choir Director/Box Office House Manager
Joyce has been active in community theater since she was 7 years old! Her first performance was as a Duck and a Daisy in Alice in Wonderland. She became aware of PVPA right before covid hit; when things reopened, she worked as the musical director on Gilligan's Island and on the kids' musical, Pirates Past Noon, both in 2022. She is the Youth Choir Director and is responsible for teaching, organizing, having fun with and putting on at least two shows a year showcasing our amazing kids and their talents. In her spare time, she sings with the Sweet Adeline Barbershop Chorus, volunteers at the box office at PVPA, and spends time with her kitties.
Rhona McCoy - Wardrobe Manager
Rhona has been doing Theatre since high school, and she has been doing costume design since she could pick up a pencil. Her earliest memory is of hand stitching Barbie clothes at age 4! Rhona is very excited about this opportunity to work with our community and kids, and we are excited to have her with our theatre.
CODE OF CONDUCT
A message to our staff, participants, and volunteers:
In addition to bringing new patrons and volunteers into our family, we must ensure those with us stay. For that to happen, they must feel comfortable with our processes. Along with excellent communication, we strive for great appearance and etiquette.
Our theatre must be clean at all times. If you are running a rehearsal, a work crew, or a business meeting, please factor 15-30 minutes into the end of your process for clean-up. Let’s ensure floors are swept, tools are put away, and supplies are returned to cabinets. Spilled drinks and food crumbs invite bugs and critters; please keep your personal spaces clean.
We want a good relationship with our neighbors, the Fain Signature Group, the Event Center, and the Town of Prescott Valley. So if you see trash in front of the theatre to the west, the back of the theatre to the east, or anywhere in that north parking lot, please help us keep it clean and tidy.
When at the theatre or representing it, please be cautious of your attire. Avoid suggestive, inappropriate, or opinionated shirts, hats, or jackets. At least business casual is always the best approach unless you are on a work crew.
Everybody in our theatre family deserves your respect; please give it to them regardless of age, ethnicity, or background. Please be aware of body fragrances, allergies, and personal space. Sensitivities may be very different from person to person.
Remember that some things about the theatre belong behind closed doors and away from our patrons, like cast members in costume, personal discussions, theatre assets, and technology. Let’s keep the fourth wall intact.
Other etiquette items include:
Being on time, using the cast and staff doors when appropriate, showing respect for all theatre property, saving the closer parking spots for patrons, and being a great role model to those around you.
If you have questions or concerns regarding our Code of Conduct, please contact our Executive Director immediately.
